Prerequisites: CHEM UN3079 Corequisites: CHEM UN3086 CHEM UN3080 covers the quantum mechanics of atoms and molecules, the quantum statistical mechanics of chemical systems, and the connection of statistical mechanics to thermodynamics. Although CHEM UN3079 and CHEM UN3080 are separate courses, students are expected to take both terms sequentially. A recitation section is required.
