One of the most diverse disciplines in the Department of Chemistry, inorganic chemistry research at Columbia covers a broad range of topics, from catalysis and methods development to the synthesis of small molecule organometallics, organometallic clusters, and nanocrystals. Many groups integrate physical and applications-based experiments into their research, making inorganic materials chemistry one of the fastest growing research areas in the Department.
