Abstract:
Allenes have been becoming more and more important due to their great potentials in organic chemistry, medicinal, and materials chemistry. Thus, development of new methodologies for the efficient syntheses of allenes from readily available chemicals is of great interest. In addition to the allenation of terminal alkynes (ATA) and enantioselective allenation of terminal alkynes with aldehydes or ketones, we have also developed the APA reactions (Allenylation with Propargylic Alcohols).
