Professor Wei Min recently co-authored a study (https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2300582121) alongside researchers at Rutgers University examining the presence of nanoplastics in everyday products.

The size of nanoplastics are concerning due to their small size (below 1 micrometer), which allow them to potentially enter blood, vital organs and the cells.

Lately, multiple new outlets have reached out to interview Prof. Min to better understand the extent of the exposure and its potential effects on human health.
